Hello, Ladies!
Was it the pleated, acid-washed jeans? The Flowbee-style haircut? Or perhaps that faint whiff of Old Spice mixed with Clearasil?
No one knows for sure, but somehow I was really able to reel in the ladies with large prints on their dresses and even larger hair in the ’80s. Case in point below:

Hello, Ladies!
31 Jul 2008 John

that is my wedding reception, 1991. Had fake nails for the first and last time, chewed them off on the honeymoon. UGH!!!
I thought it was early ’90s as well. But my wife Patti convinced me that it had to be the ’80s because “no one was wearing acid-washed jeans in the ’90s.”
I’d like to introduce her to John Marcotte, fashion trend setter.
Well, at least none of the Nirvana/Pearl Jam-listening cool people in Seattle were wearing them in the 90’s. Maybe it was a “St. Louis thing.”
I still love that it was a wedding reception and John wore his best acid-washed jeans. Classy.
I remember this day well. It was my second date with Steve and the first time I met the whole family.
Wow John! Those are some fancy pants! I think my Grandma has some pants similar to those but hers are polyester.
Let’s leave my jeans out of this for a moment, and turn our focus where it belongs: Katie’s hair.
