Anya, Stella, John & Patti at the Picture People
Because Leon has been being such a pain in the butt about getting photos of my family, we have tried to oblige him. But giving him just any old photo of Stella or Anya has not worked out. He needs it to be vertical, and he needs to complain that Stella’s head is chopped off in this photo:

This evidently ruins the entire picture. A fact that had somehow escaped the notice of everyone else who saw it.
So we went to Picture People in Arden Fair Mall and spent a bunch of money to get “professional” portraits taken by people who probably also turned in applications at Orange Julius and Hot Dog on a Stick.
We had a pretty good time and hammed it up a little. Our photographer was either a current or former “Miss Sacramento,” which was nice, I guess. Anya found friends to run around shrieking with while we waited. And, according to Patti, I told inappropriate jokes to the other families in the lobby.
So here are the results of the shoot, complete with watermark to prevent me from printing my own copies.
We got an 8″ x 10″ vertical for Leon of the whole family, and a few more for ourselves. If anybody else wants any of these, let me know and we’ll try to get some more prints made.

I love these pictures. Could I have one of the whole family? I especially like the one where you and patti are holding the girls upside down.
Love
me
These are great! My favorite family photo is of you all holding the girls upside down.
I don’t know how you could choose which ones to purchse - they are all so cute.
Patti’s head is chopped off in a couple of them. I want a retake.
Seriously, those are actually some pretty nice photos of you. You guys are so photogenic.
I wonder what kind of a father or what kind of a home life you experience as a child it would seem “.
spare the rod spoil the child” was written with John Marcotte in mind. I have only made the point I love all my grandchildren not just 99% of them.
The photos are so fun. We need to hold our girls upside down in our next shoot,
Although these are some of the cutest photos I’ve seen in a long time, I still think John’s photo of Stella is terrific (even with her head chopped off). There are several that I’d like to have copies of (not big 8×10s though because my apartment is small and I would have to move to a hotel to make room for the photos). I’ll let you know which ones I’d like in a separate e-mail.
